When To Have A Rape Exam

It is best to have a rape exam completed within the first 72 hours following the assault. The exam should be completed at an emergency room or facility that is equipped to conduct a rape exam.  If it has been longer than 72 hours since the assault, an exam can be done at a Physician's office or a clinic that is comfortable for the victim.
